Brent Hinds and more mastodrama: opinion

Seems Brent Hinds is still just a tad bitter about leaving Mastodon, or rather in his words, he was fired.

He goes on to accuse usage of auto-tune by Trent and Bran, both live and in studio, as well as the rest of the band in general being "horrible humans" and "disgusting".

The rest of the band has chosen what most would call the high road, wishing Brent "nothing but success in his future endeavors". Or if you are so inclined, the "easy way out" and the fastest way to diffuse allegations publicly.

Hinds has moved on musically from Mastodon, and is playing shows with his other bands.

What does everyone else think?

Will Brent hold onto this grudge forever? Or do you think that some reconciliation may be possible in the future? Maybe not leading to a reunion, but at least a cordial relationship between the parties involved.

Should band politics stay behind closed doors and remain internal issues, or should there be public fallout like this, as it has happened with many other bands?

My personal opinion is that unless something egregious happened, such as any sort of serious allegations like abuse or worse, towards other band mates, family, fans or others. That band issues like this should mostly remain behind closed doors, until cooler heads have prevailed and conversations and statements can be made without re-igniting bad blood.

In reality we are only receiving one side of the story, unless the band makes a full statement, we can only assume what actually went down.
